He is responsible for the publication of specialised art catalogues and books. In 2015, the critic and Prof. Carlo Franza

The gallery
The gallery Antonio Battaglia, founded in Milan in 2002, is in the heart of the Brera district, in an
elegant courtyard, a stone’s throw from the Academy of Fine Arts and the Brera Art Gallery. The gallery represents
historic artists who emerged in the 1960s and 1970s in the effervescent Milanese art scene that saw
the Brera area as the international epicentre of culture and the new avant-garde.
The exhibition programme emphasises the artists treated with contributions by several important critics and the publication
of catalogues. The focus is always on contemporary languages, including painting, sculpture,
photography and new media, also in the proposal of young artists and in the direct relations between artist, curator, gallery owner,
work and space.
The gallery’s artists are followed and supported in various projects also off-site, such as exhibitions in public and private spaces
and fairs in Italy and abroad. Gallerist Antonio Battaglia accompanies his collectors in the care and development
of their collections by researching works by major 20th century and new avant-garde artists in Italy and abroad, as well as advising
on the valuation of entire collections and lending works for exhibitions.
