Giorgio Roncon was born in 1954 in the province of Rovigo in the town of Contarina. In the 1960s he followed his family who moved to Modena for work. In 1977 he tackled painting and in particular life portraits. In the 1980s he then opened an artisanal decorator business, deepening his techniques through courses. In 2010 he decided to join painting courses held at the “La Clessidra” association in Nonantola. In 2017 he decided to open a craft workshop that also functioned as an atelier, this allowed Giorgio to meet many artists, gallery owners and art critics with whom he could interact. Having explored the main methodologies of artistic painting, Roncon finds his aesthetic dimension in a dialogue with the metaphysics of Giorgio de Chirico but also with surrealism in general. The recent works have come to the attention of collectors but also of critics, inducing the artist to strengthen his commitment to his artistic project.
